Services / Alternative Services

Targeted Case Management: TCM is designed to assure that service systems and community supports meet the changing needs of the individual and their families. Services are intended to assist eligible adults, adolescents and their families in gaining access to needed psyciatric and psychological treatment, medical, social, educational, vocational and other supports essential to maximizing the consumer's adjustment and functioning within a family setting and in the community.

Family Assistance: Provides services for a consumer and/or the family. Services can be provided in a variety of settings such as school, home, social/peer setting, group, and one-on-one supervision. The program offers communication skills, socialization skills, community skills, and home living. The Family Assistance worker helps the consumer and family to arrange appropriate services and can assist with leisure activities and will work on developing coping skills by modeling appropriate behaviors for the consumer.

Families First: Provides a short-term in-home crisis intervention program designed to work with families who have a child that meets the criteria of seriously emotionally disturbed and is at imminent risk of being removed from the home. A Families First Specialist will provide parenting skills, communication skills, life skills, and link consumer anf amily to community resources. Crisis services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Families First Services are available to residents of Dunklin and Pemiscot Counties.

Crisis Nursery: Designed to provide temporary care for children ages birth to ten years whom are in need of care due to any one or combination of the following emergency situations: when intervention is necessary to assist a parent/caretaker in finding alternative care to prevent possible child abuse or neglect; when there is no one to care for the child or children due to the hospitilzation, incarceration or death of the parent/caretaker; when there is a lack of food, utilities and/or shelter with no alternative options available to relieve a homeless situation; or when the safety and well-being of a child is in jeopardy due to domestic violence or any other crisis situation. Services are available to children who are residents of Dunklin, Pemiscot and New Madrid Counties. Placement of Crisis Nursery servies are on a voluntary basis by a parent and/or legal guardian. Crisis Nursery Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The length of stay per child ranging from a few hours to five days.
