Opening the locksmithing business is sort of a dream come true for Carnett. "I used to go to Buster Moore's shop and watch him work on locks all day," Carnett said.

"I was fascinated by watching him work on locks. I thought one day I'd like to have my own shop," he continued.

According to Carnett, Moore owned and operated the locksmithing shop for about 40 years. Vernon Purser of Senath purchased the store from Moore and operated it for more than 10 years, and he (Carnett) purchased the store from Purser in December 2003.

Carnett said he started locksmithing in 2003 and became full-time in January 2004.
