Almost everyone has or knows someone who has arthritis.
According to research, many people have said they partner arthritis with other "benefits" associated with growing older.

Research also shows that several people believe arthritis and the pains that come along with it cannot be helped or prevented.

However, arthritis professionals say there are things that can be done to help break the cycle of pain and manage the disease.

Some of these educational tips will be discussed during an arthritis self-help class being offered through Bootheel Area Independent Living Services (BAILS) of Kennett.

The classes, according to coordinators, will begin Feb. 1, 2008.

Each class is scheduled to meet once per week, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, for a total of six weeks.
