What is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease? (COPD)
COPD is a slow, progressive lung disease. People with COPD have difficulty emptying air out of their lungs. This difficulty in emptying the lungs can lead to shortness of breath or feeling tired because of the extra work needed to breathe. COPD includes two main illnesses - chroinic bronchitis and emphysema.
